ANALYTICAL WRITING
Sarah's essays on Ancient Greek mythology and religion.
Greek mythology has been apart of my life since I was a small child, but lately I have learned so much more about the myths, their source material, and the religion that surrounded them. These are my essays on the gods, their stories, how they're interpreted, and why they're important.
Sarah's reviews and personal reflections.
Literary criticism on some of my favorite stories and tropes, reviews of the occult books I've read, analysis and commentary on the video games I've played, and a bit about fantasy writing.
Sarah's analyses of characters, worldbuilding, and storytelling.
Harry Potter had a huge influence over my creative writing, and I've written more on Harry Potter than any other single work of fiction. Endless online arguments made me want to apply my skills in literary criticism to my interpretations of the story.
Sarah's essays on magic, spirituality, and neopaganism.
I'm proud to call myself an occultist, a person who studies magic for real in real life! As a practitioner, I'm something of a jack-of-all-trades, master of none, with a foundational knowledge of Western esotericism. Occultism is just as interesting from an intellectual and scholarly standpoint, since magic has always been part of human culture.
Sarah's research into gods from all over the world.
Lately I've been trying to expand my list of gods from all around the world into a more detailed introduction to each pantheon, with more emphasis on how and why the gods are worshipped. Currently, I've completed lists on Greek, Norse, Egyptian, Celtic, Shinto, Aztec, and Mayan gods. Mesopotamian and Hindu gods to come.
